The marshmallow was formed by 2 guitarist/vocalist:Dex & Collin In the year 2010.They journey in music start at year of 1994 when there play at several underground gigs around kk,Sabah. ( 1st generation of punk/grunge/alternative scene band in Kota Kinabalu)Dex is the ex-member of Unexplained & Collin is ex member of Frankensteins.
In the year 1998, Dex with Collin formed a band called De javu with 2 other band members Jacob(Bass) and the late of Wai-Ex -Molly lip's(Drums-R.I.P.).De javu have performed in few clubs around KK,Sabah from 1999 - 2000 before the band split up.
On year 2011, Collin a co-founder of the band is quitting and replace by Zamlee(Ex-Fairytales)and Athosh on Bass(Goth-Doom).
The marshmallow music is influenced by The Beatles,The Doors, The Who,Cream,Pink Floyd,Led Zeppelin,Jimi Hendrix,Rolling Stones & others 60's& 70's Classic rock band.
