About Wake Up Call band

Wake Up Call is a local Rock band from KK formed in late 2009. The band consists of homegrown musicians like lead vocalist Khairul Nezm, guitarist Elvis Kee, lead-guitarist Zairazie, bassist Anique Kee and drummer Zulkhaliff.
The earlier line up of W.U.C were Khairul, Zairazie, Anique and a session drummer Aley played with another local rock band from kk called Anologue Sick. Suara Anak Borneo gig was W.U.C's debut performance on 27th Dec 09, followed by BandWidth's Rock Out chapter II where W.U.C was an opening act band for Seven Collar T-Shirt on 23rd Jan 2010. The band faced problems and had to stall their activities when Aley decided to leave W.U.C and stay focus with his own band.
W.U.C wasted no time and moved on but after going through several jamming sessions and auditions with several local drummers for a couple of months, the band still could'nt find the right person to fill the post. However, W.U.C with a strong spirit never gave up trying to look for their drummer until one day Zulkhaliff decided to join on board and be the official drummer of Wakeup Call. Guess where they found him... Facebook, where else??
Altough, even at this point the band still did'nt think that the line up was complete because of the lack of bigger guitar sounds in the music. That's when Elvis Kee, who is Anique's older brother, decided to join the band as a another guitarist at the same time as Zulkhaliff to make the current and complete line up of Wake UP Call.
W.U.C has started to record their 1st single/track of their upcoming EP in early January 2011 entitled 'Kill and Say Goodbye'.. If things progresses according to plan, new tracks such as 'Falling Away' and a malay song entitled 'Rentak Veto' will be recorded a.s.a.p and released for the world to listen.. The 1st EP of W.U.C is hoped to be finished and released by mid 2011.
