About Donatello band
This seven piece punk rockers started in the street of Kota Kinabalu back in 2006, taking punk music as their roots and blending it with ska, rock and pop. Surely they are making their own style of music with the catchy melody of the blowing instrument and punk riff guitar and bass, fast beat drums and simple catchy vocal.
Donatello started as a punk rock band with Shafie on guitar and vocal, One on drums and Miky on bass back in 2005. After finishing high school Shafie try to pursue a more academic kind of music and went to a music school to take diploma in music. This is where he met Clair, who was a trumpeter for the school orchestra. Few months later, Clair was playing trumpet for Donatello.
The band slowly grow from there, in 2006 Khai join in the party with the saxophone. Jali and Syax are the newest member of Donatello. Realizing academic music is not his cup of tea, Shafie turn down an opportunity to further his study to a degree level. Since then, they had spread their wings pursuing their dreams, pack their bags because there is no turning back.
